Te ingredients for this recipe is usually always stocked up in my pantry. Mostly because my family requests this at least once every 2 weeks and I promise it vanishes within seconds.

In my family, we like things a little spicy so along with a bit of soy sauce , I also started adding a little dash of this Sambal hot sauce I found at World Market. I also searched and found it on Amazon. Its SO GOOD! My mouth is watering as I type this.

Anyway, this is how you make it!

My method to make this easy and authentic chicken corn soup

This recipe doesn’t require an extensive list of ingredients. You’ll need a few ingredients that you’ll easily in your pantry and chicken. It depends on what I have on hand, but I will usually take a bone in chicken breast (for extra flavor and nutrition) and cook it in water ginger and garlic paste. This will not only cook the chicken but also create a base or in other words Chicken Broth for the soup.

After the chicken is done, I pull it out of the pot and turn the heat to medium high. I start adding all the ingredients including the Cream style sweet corn but except corn starch, egg and sesame oil. I also shred the chicken once it cools down.

Once the soup comes to a boil, I quickly mix up some corn starch with water and add it to the soup to thicken it up. Then I add a whipped egg very slowly to the soup while mixing it to create those strings of egg that you see in your favorite Chinese soup. Again, the trick here is to add the egg very slowly while mixing the soup. Then I add some shredded chicken and chopped green onions. Cook it on low heat for 15 minutes. Turn off the stove and drizzle in some Sesame Oil and VIOLA! Easy and Authentic Chicken Corn Soup is ready!
