Hi, I am Sehrish!
I bloomed in Pakistan and blossomed in California. Okay that sounds a bit cheesy! But it’s important for me to tell you how grateful I am to have experienced the best of both worlds.
Moving away from my home country at the time didn’t just teach me how to step out of my comfort zone but also taught me the importance of protecting my roots and my culture. I am very grateful for that!
I’m into food, all sorts of food. I love preparing it, feeding it, eating it and learning about it. The whole process of putting food on the table is so therapeutic, joyful and comforting to me. As a little kid after finishing my school work I’d always be in the kitchen. It could be because I was helping my grandma with fresh chapatis and okras or because I was layering a dish of lasagna for dinner with my mom. Of course, it was all by choice.
The desire to explore and enjoy food on the other hand became deeper and deeper as I grew up and started exploring more and tried various flavors whether in my kitchen or on a vacation. Even when traveling and deciding on destinations, food is such a HUGE factor for me. I guess you can call me a Foodie.
Seriously though, I strongly believe a good bite of food allows us to slow down and cherish the moment. And when it becomes a memory, it still has that unique power to let us live that moment once again.
